I wish I could give this hotel more stars. The owners Lisa and Deniz are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, and they make you feel right at home.
Lisa sat down with us and gave us a map and highlighted the best places to visit with an insider’s perspective, which was super helpful. We ended finding some hidden gems on her recommendation. We were unsure as to which hot air balloon company to use, so they booked us a ride that picked us up at the hotel and was able to fly the balloon down into Love Valley (most companies didn’t have this skilled of pilots). The price was also super reasonable.
We are a family of four traveling with two teenagers. We booked the fancy room with the Turkish bath for ourselves and a smaller room next to ours for the kids and it worked great. The room is an actual cave (which our kids found cool) and has hygge lighting. It was also well stocked with bathrobes, Turkish towels, blow dryer, slippers, etc.
Breakfast is amazing! We’re vegetarians and Deniz cooked us a feast each morning. My kids liked the traditional Turkish menemen dish so well, I asked Deniz how he cooked it, and he took the time to show me how to prepare it at home.
The location of the hotel is ideal -we were able to walk from the hotel and enter Pigeon Valley, to Uchisar Castle, then White Valley, Love Valley, and back to the hotel. The hotel also next to lots of restaurants, shops, and tour agencies. You can also sit on the patio and watch the hot air balloons pass overhead.
This is a smaller hotel which made us feel more comfortable with COVID. The breakfast is cooked fresh and brought to your table restaurant style, so you’re not using a communal buffet that someone could have coughed over. There are also only a handful of guests at the hotel, so we felt very comfortable. There is also an open-air patio for eating breakfast and a hand sanitizer station.
Thank you Deniz and Lisa! Can’t wait to stay with you again. (Google, Oct 2020)
